Hi, Im trying to register for an event and it asked me what my work preference is. What does this mean? I have never done any autox racing before so forgive me if this sounds stupid.

Everyone that attends an autocross as a participant is typically expected to work. One group completes their runs while another group mans the course picking up cones, tends to grid, performs timing and scoring, etc.
If an entry form prompts you for a worker preference, it is asking which area you would like to cover during your work assignment.
If you are new to autocross, just put "any" and one of the event organizers will assign you to a position.
